Camperships
General Information
All of Camp Artaban's programs are heavily subsidized by generous donors who give of their money and time. This helps us to keep our fees lower than would otherwise be possible.
However, we realize that for some the cost is still out of reach. We don't want anyone to be left behind, so, due to generous special gifts, we offer the Campership program. Camp Artaban Camperships are made possible through the support of the following.
CKNW Orphans' Fund
Each December, CKNW has a drive to raise funds to support the needs of B.C.'s challenged and underprivileged children. Please visit the CKNW website to learn more about the CKNW Orphans' Fund.
Loyal Protestants
Each year the Loyal Protestants have faithfully provided Camp Artaban with a very generous donation in order that campers in need of financial assistance may attend camp.
St. Francis Legacy Fund
In late 2006, the Parish of St. Francis-in-the-Wood donated funds toward Camp Artaban Camperships and leadership training.
Generous Donors
Every year, generous individuals make donations specifically ear-marked toward campers who may not otherwise be able to afford to go to camp. By way of these funds, we are able to offer camperships to campers.
Process for application
Accompanying the application is a list of Anglican churches that have partnered with us to ease the application process. Once you have completed the application form, please contact the church closest to your home and set up an appointment so that the appointed person may meet with you and determine the level of assistance that you require. If you qualify for assistance outside of camp such as through government funding or other, then please get this funding first as our funds are limited.
Please contact Orchid, our Office Administrator, at 604-980-0391 or go to our Registration forms page and download the Campership forms.
